almost no one uses this anymore but i guess i'll use it today for some reason.
my roommate from last year just started a juggling club. i'm trying to get it to be more of an all around circus club, with stilts and unicycles. we'll see how it works out. mostly i want the school to buy a unicycle so i can learn how to ride it.
i'm thinking of a music major with a neuroscience concentration, i don't know why, aside from the fact that everything else is boring, but i suppose that's more than a good enough reason.
i was a leader on a freshman orientation canoe trip to northern wisconsin and now i'm very involved in getting the program not cancelled.
also i'm trying to get monday jazz nights going again.
i still need a fourth class, i could take calc again, or stats, or start a new language, or take some history class. right now i've got general chemistry, western music to 1750, and intro to composition.
also now i'm in the grinnell college singers, so that's cool.

sometimes the world is a cruel and terrible place. the best we can do is enjoy what we've got, then look at our shoes and hope nothing happens to our little bubble. the older we get, the bigger our world gets, and the harder it is to keep out the terrible things. Being young, we feel exempt, as though these terrors aren't allowed to touch us yet, that say, 18 year olds, they aren't allowed to die yet. Fuck man, that just ain't the case. Sad things are afoot. don't worry, it's no one you guys know. it will be someday though.

i just had a dream that i beat the shit out of a guy when i was invisible from using something called rabbit's foot. most of the dream was just me feeling guilty. near the end i realized that it probably didn't happen, and that i just dreamed i beat him up. it was a weird dream. and by beat up, i mean i beat the shit out of him, like with a club. there was a bunch of blood, and he didn't show up in the rest of the dream, i think he was in the hospital. i felt really paranoid that everyone knew i had done it the rest of the dream. everyone in it was someone from college.

hey livejournal, it's been a while. how's things?
yeah, i'm alright. been better. but it's a new semester, time for new things i guess. we'll see what happens. I mean, things are way different from the beginning of last semester i think. guess i'll find out where this one goes.
when will losers learn that you havn't got to take a shower every day, every other day of every 3 days is no problem, especially in college, jeez. go eat some plastic, losers.
a day can be filled with so many different emotions it is nuts. emotions can go jump in a river. except when they're cool. bein robotic would suck. come back emotions, i'm sorry. but now i have to go kill or break something to regain my masculinity.

oh man, i just watched a video of our senior song. that still cracks me up and warms my heart simultaneously. hahahahaha awwww
the thanksgiving party should be good. other than that i expect to sleep and play videogames while i'm home. which should be from like wednesday night or something to maybe saturday night or sunday morning.
college amounts of work are starting to bear down on me. there are too many other things to do than homework, it makes it so hard.
i'm having a hard time keeping in mind that each day follows from the last, that they aren't disconnected. every time i see someone, it's hard to keep them in context, remembering what interactions we've had and all that. at each subsequent meeting, it's like i've got to retrace my steps.
wizard people dear readers is too good.
my sleep schedule is now nap when i can and go to bed at 4 or 5 am

i burned off my knuckle hair at work the other day.
i took a 2 hour walk last night.
college is cool but i've been feeling kinda down the last couple days.
i went out biking with friends on thursday. things have kinda been sucks since then. they look sucks until at least tuesday night, and depending on what happens, may become double sucks.
there will be a thanksgiving party right? because i want to see people when i come home then and that would make it easy.

so far, one of the coolest things i've done is playing with nerf guns in a science building. 20 to 30 people with mavericks and some other things running around at midnight in a school facility playing team deathmatches and capture the flag. the most awesome part is that lots of the guns were bought with school funding for the nerf club or something.
my school is probably cooler than your school.
also today i learned fencing things and yesterday i put up a tire swing with a guy named alex and a tire we found in some person's trash

dang, i need to get better at doing things not right before they have to be done. i kinda like it this way, but sometimes it's just ridiculous.
well i'm off to college in about 3 hours, so i'll see you guys later. i've got a weeklong break in mid october some time, so i might see you then. i'll probably be home for thanksgiving too.

so it turns out the lady who was organizing the whole thing of getting people a place to stay asked a bunch of people to host this same german girl, so she is no longer going to stay at our house.
every day in ethics, we would have (sometimes) intellectual discussions about things, lots of things, and it was great. on fridays it would be whatever we could think of, which didn't always work out. i miss it now, because it never happens anymore. no one wants to just discuss. there's always tv and music and coming and going which can be lots of fun but still.
i got my dorm assigment, 3213. on the floor plan, next to 3214 is a lounge. guess they're out of space. and this guy's first name is jameson, which is a funny first name.
i leave on the 14th of august and i'm having a grad party on the 8th so let's do things quick quick i've only got 3 weeks. tomorrow i'm free let's do things like torpedo and ultimate frisbee and wrestling on the grass and stomp and sword fighting

so a sixteen year old german girl from germany who i don't know is staying at our house from thursday or friday till sunday, but my older sister has known her for a month. anyone want to meet her?
today was fun, it was less normal than a normal day, which is great. let's do more things like that.
do people ever put the address they want the mail to go to in the return address then "send" it to a fake address to get free mail? does that work? that's probably mail fraud, which is like illegal or something.
i think it'd be cool to make a chess board in the grass by cutting out squares of grass so you've got alternating grass and dirt squares, then building wooden chess pieces.
what should we do tomorrow?
